Collected Tales of Mi(s)s(ed)Fortune

2012, 2014, 2015

poetry collection

This collection of poems was produced to be used in the Collected Tales of Mi(s)s(ed)Fortune performance as content for discussion and as a real poetry booklet the spectators can take home after the show.

Bellow, some examples:

THE NILE

the Nile

is the longest river of blind beliefs

next to it

the outdated pharaohs sit on top of their pyramids

resting their eyes on a sunset of slaves

murmurs of songs of those without freedom

again fail to affect their ignorant observers

more blood is shed

bones keep cracking

bodies are whipped continuously

as this gigantic machinery sets to build yet another wonder of the world.

in the meantime

the Nile keeps on flowing

as the Nile never stops

the Nile continues to distant lands, towards the most remote corners of the kingdom.

MAISON DU POUPLI/ THE HOUSE OF DREAMS

and mist

and smoke

and figures moving

slightly

dancing tango

on music hardly

heard;

enough to make you

turn

with open mouth

only to enjoy

the beauty

of the present

moment.

NONSENSE FOR NONSENSE

it seems

that

nonsense can only be answered

by more nonsense.

so

while

wild(ly)

and vivid(ly)

we can only anticipate

.

associations started with poems

and ended with magazine articles on bras.

not much of that remains.

after all,

ruins are there

to be left

alone.

i shall leave you crying

(for more?)

thinking of mere existance.

(hmmm…).

leave me.

that

i can leave you.

for now.

with love.

to, for and in

amsterdam

on may 23

2011.

p.s.

all that is unsaid

is left for personal interpretation.

be brave.

and step far.

beyond,

there is

beyond.

what is not there

is

irrelevant.
